Greetings ASL Interns, students and community partners,

I want to take this opportunity to congratulate each and everyone of you for this incredible achievement. From our early beginnings in 2009 with 2 Interns and one pilot school, you all have taken the ASL program to great heights. Your dedication and continued commitment to the program and the youth we serve has created a program model that has been recognized at a national level amongst our peers. The real achievement of the program is not necessarily the winning of awards or recognition, but the way in which the youth of the ASL program are conducting themselves in their day to day lives. They are taking control of their own lives, they are planning their own events, they are demonstrating pride in their culture and ultimately in themselves. This is leading to improvement in school and in their lives in general. "They are becoming Leaders" and you are are leading them. You all are part of something special and its shows in the way in which each of you has grown, and continue to support the family that you all have become part of. It is truly an honor for me to watch and listen to your stories as you leave the office each day to go out and change the world.

Again, congratulations!!

Doug Dokis &
